He graduated from Renmin University of China in 1995, and earned a Master’s degree in Applied Finance from Macquarie University in 2000.
Work Experience
Mr. Mu Changchun is Director of the Digital Currency Research Institute at the People’s Bank of China (PBC), and was Deputy Director-General of its Payment and Settlement Department and the General Administration Department. Before that, he was a Senior Advisor to the Executive Director for Canada/China/Korea/Kuwait/Spain in the African Development Bank. In his earlier career at the central bank, he worked on multilateral and bilateral cooperation and coordination with international organizations and foreign central banks.

Mr. Mu is a member of CPMI, a member of FSB Financial Innovation Network, and a member of IMF High-level Advisory Group on Finance and Technology.
